Hi, I'm Cat. After I realized there weren't many accessible resources that teach students how to graduate without student debt, I created AcademiaCat - a blog with a dedicated YouTube channel introducing students to resources that help them complete their higher education journey debt-free.

Resources are shared in typical ways through blog posts and newsletters; however, I strive to portray information in the "avant-garde" with an animated podcast series, where I bring guests on to talk about everything school and career-related.

About Me

I believe creativity is an integral part of the human experience. That's why I always strive to think of out-of-the-box solutions. Oftentimes, the ideas I come up with are very ambitious and I take great joy in presenting them with grace, comedy, and flair.

It is thanks to these qualities that I have fostered a deep love for the arts! I dabble in software development, creative writing, and graphic design. As I progress through my undergraduate education, studying Computer Systems and Business Analysis, I've set my sights on breaking into the EdTech industry. I see myself designing learning enhancement software and curriculums to enhance organizational behavior. Ideally, I'd like to develop software for non-profit organizations that work within education.

I'm Guyanese and Haitian and an October Scorpio who loves a good vanilla chai with extra cinnamon. I love the colors baby pink, royal blue, and black (interesting contrast I know). I'm an avid reader of fanfiction, especially works related to the Percy Jackson fandom by author Rick Riordan.

When stressed, I can be found starting a new project in Unity or baking at one-o-clock in the morning. I've been told on many occasions that my brown butter chocolate chip cookies and chai smore's brownies are out of this world.
